STORIES
OF HOPE

RENO Sparks Convention Center

WEndy Palau and special guest Rachael Lampa

Who will you invite to be part of your table?

On August 19, you have an incredible opportunity to invite the women in your life to encounter the hope of Jesus through a warm, welcoming, and joy-filled gathering.

Stories of Hope is a key component of Reno-Tahoe CityFest — a special evening created to encourage women and clearly share the message of the Gospel. While it will be uplifting for believers, the heart of this event is reaching those who haven’t yet encountered the love of Christ.

We need you to help make it happen!

As a table host, you’ll receive a ticket package that includes eight seats — one for you, and seven seats for friends, family, or colleagues who may be searching for hope. Your table fee covers:

  • Refreshments

  • A special performance by Rachael Lampa

  • And an inspiring message of hope from Wendy Palau

Together, let’s fill the room with women who need to know they are loved, seen, and invited into a life-changing relationship with Jesus.

  • Raised in a loving home on the island of Jamaica, she sought fulfillment and peace in all the wrong places. But at 25, her life was radically transformed by Christ, and she found the true joy she had been longing for. Since then, she and her husband, Andrew, have dedicated their lives to sharing this message of hope with people around the world.

She also helps lead Palau’s prayer efforts, mobilizing a global network of intercessors. Through Palau’s Hope with God radio program and digital evangelism initiatives, she encourages and uplifts millions each week with messages of faith and redemption.

Her book, Stories of Hope, is a powerful collection of testimonies from women worldwide, showcasing how Christ brought light into their darkest moments. Wendy’s warmth, wisdom, and deep faith make her a trusted voice in evangelism, meeting people where they are and pointing them to the unshakable hope found in Jesus.

Wendy and Andrew live in Portland, Oregon, near Palau’s global headquarters. They have three children, Christopher, Jonathan, and Sadie.

  • Rachael Lampa has seen music industry success since she was 14 years old with her powerhouse vocals and relatable songwriting style. Her debut album “Live for You” became a huge hit, spawning four number one singles and winning a Dove Award for the number one hit "Blessed". In 2010, while on a hiatus from music, Lampa joined her siblings in forming a nonprofit in Nashville called People Loving Nashville which walks with people who are experiencing homelessness & incarceration. Now she is back with a #1 single, “Perfectly Loved,” and other charting songs including “Somebody To You,” “Wild Ones,” “High Hopes” and “For What It’s Worth.” Her latest release, “Superpowers,” is an anthem written about her 2-year-old son with Down syndrome and has been widely received and celebrated in the disability community. Her new music is an organic continuation of her journey, bridging the gap between longtime fans and brand new ones.
